SOREM first gained its reputation from its ability to grow pure or doped fluoride crystals for optics. The company has been the first European manufacturer of synthetic CaF2. It never ceased improving its know-how in this respect, but now offers to its customers a number of optical materials, mainly specializing in UV and IR transmitting products.
